Religion and politics are the two subjects that are forbidden to be discussed in Lodge, as we say they are the two topics that serve to divide men. Recent events in Tennessee have elevated both religion AND politics into the Masonic sphere, causing all kinds of problems. Outside of the Craft, we are in the midst of a political process that is breaking down because of a lack of mutual respect and civility.

Can Masonry help us as a society walk this back? Are we destined to be torn apart by the same forces that are straining democracy all over the world? We open the discussion: How can Masonry help?

Love your talk on Brothers Dennis and Mark and what is going on here in TN. Yes we have been ordered not to speak on this subject outside of our lodges, Our district one rep spoken in our stated meets stating this was a directive from the GM and that he will personally bring charges again anyone who violates this directive. March 24 25 will be GL week where there will be a vote on changing our laws…you may want to inquire into how many brothers we have that are non-white…

Thanks for the comment. We’ll be doing some esoteric stuff later in the season, and I am preparing a special lecture on Kabbalah and Living Structures especially for the Xecutive Producers. I hope your passing went well, and please let us know when you are raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason.
